    Hi all

Just wondering about overwintering, and how it works. If you sow now/till end August, does the stuff sprout a little then do pretty much nothing over the winter?

Doesn't that leave you with great big bare patches of soil?

    Cheers very much indeed,
    TC (Alexei from London)

I overwintered some onion sets a couple of years ago. Red onions. They grew in late summer then did nothing all winter and did nothing all the folowing spring/summer either. So hope you have more luck. I probably did something wrong but don't know what and haven't tried since.
