Woo ... your relies have started up again. I am sitting here with the back door open because we are still 18 degrees and they are wee-ooing like nobody's business in the garden and orchard and this will now continue until the wee hours so I will have little sleep tonighr ... yet again.

Can you please explain this to me?

    Thank you.

I'd recommend ear-plugs, LoL! It has the advantage of drowning out any snoring from the partner too.....

They are called corujas .... owls, that is, flags are called bandeiras! [IMG]

They're about "so" big ... I'm holding my hands up, can you see? About eight inches ... the OWL, that is, brown and cute as a button. Not so cute when it's wee-ooing (that's the noise it makes) in the wee hours. I just know them as screech owls.

And when these critters are wee-ooing, there is another bird saying something that sounds like, kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss very quickly!

Good evening Lol. I have just been on the phone to my relations, the reason for the noise is its the breeding season,a bit of a sensitive subject
with them, they usually lay their eggs in April,
It should quieten down a bit for about 3/4 weeks
They will be busy sittig on the eggs then. They will try to keep the noise down its just excitement. :D [IMG]

That's a relief, woo, that I shall be able to have some sleep in about 3-4 weeks time.

Kandy, don't think I could cope with earplugs ... what if burglars came lurking through the orchards? How would I hear, t'other half snores too much to hear himself!

Oh, woo, I'm so proud of you and I'm sure the Red Arrows are well impressed. I'm looking forward to watching the aerobic displays and I will be thinking of you when I see them ... that is, assuming they will fly over me ...

Did you like the article I found? I was right with the size. :D

You were right ... April is nearing ...
