Well not mine per se but home made at least...

Just made a batch of comfrey fertiliser. Ye gods it smells like the devils own bum!

Anyone know dilution rates? It's as black pitch if that's any guide

      It's great isn't it

About 1 part comfrey to 10 of water, don't get it on your hands or you'll smell bad forever, like you'd been dipped in the bog of eternal stench.

My Brother used to describe it as "Pure Evil." :snork:

Don't mention comfrey tea to me:eeew:.....every time i use it it 'upsets' me for days....but fascinates me to see the millions of flies land when you've just used it....i have been meaning to strain mine and bottle it but not a chance:nonofinger:...i'm not that brave...my dad always used sheep muck in a sack for his tomatoes and i don't remember that smelling as bad....bad enough though....

I dilute 1:10 applying to the soil, 1:20 if sprayed on leaves

I just add a dash every other day to the watering can. I don't measure anything when it comes to feeding. Cucumber plant loves it though.

When can I cut my comfrey to start making feed from it? It is getting quite large now.

I figure that if my Comfrey is starting too flower I ought already to have taken a "crop" (most especially if it is NOT Bocking-14 sterile variety as once it seeds it will be all over the garden in no time :( )

Just dilute down to the colour of weak tea.

I make my own brew from my own compost, they call it compost tea. When diluting I add 1 litre to my 10 litre can, same as you lot do with the comfry.

Agreed it should look like weak tea when applied to your plants, I might just strengthen slightly if we have lots of rain.
