Went to the botanic gardens this afternoon for the first time in a couple of months. Lousy weather and the Lily House was closed for maintenance, but here are a few photos anyway (not the best I've ever done, but the weather and light was shino).

    Stenoglottis longifolia.................

If my Passiflora alata ever gets as big as this one is I'll be stuffed!

    Hedychium densiflorum.....................

Clerodendrum trichotomum (var. Fargesii) is still putting out the odd fragrant bloom................

Whitfieldia longifolia is a new one on me. It's from tropical Africa......................

    Aloe dyeri........................

    Aloe cooperii................

    Aloe vera in bloom.....................

    And good old Agave ferox..................

    A Philodendron flower...................

    Salvia oxyphora....................

    It's quite a clump......................

    Salvia conferiflora....................

This is also rather huge (and far bigger than mine!)....................

    More to follow.

      Caiophora hibiscifolia..............

      And its cousin, Loasa triphylla....................

The Gunnera looks rather sad now that it's been put to bed for the winter................

Morina longifolia (sorry, I deleted the photo of the thistle-like foliage somehow).................

More to follow when I find/work out what they are!

Not sure pic 3 is P alata longk.
Could be quadragularis, or maybe a hybrid, they had one similar in the waterlilly house at Kew when I was there a few years ago now.

            I like the Agave.:)

I'll go with a hybrid/cultivar. Certainly not P.quadrangularis - too small, cool tolerant and the corona isn't flared or straggly enough.
