    ... a beautiful wood.

"Discover" is probably the wrong word because I've been driving through it twice a day during term times while I was taking my degree, but yesterday was the very first time I'd actually explored it.

The autumnal colours were glorious and there were a few areas designed to add interest to attract families (sculptures).

It was a wonderful couple of hours. Thankfully, I had my camera with me

No! You cannot go round again :heehee:

He met some new friends too and didn't bark, cause a fuss or make a nuisance of himself; he was a very good boy :)

What a perfect spot for walkies! Abi used to be a little s**t on her walks... I've been pulled out of a nearby lake by local fisherman after she dragged me in it (grrr). Lovely photos x

:heehee: Yup, I'm hearing you! Prior to our walk in the woods, we did the local park (ducks and herring gulls abundance!) I just *know* that if Oz was sans lead, he would have had a feast day!

My only consolation is: despite his "pulling", he deferred to my "Alpha" ness! Not sure how long that will last though: one lady we met on our walk was quite insistant that he is still in his "honeymoon" period (post animal shelter) and life is going to change come a month or so (which, I might add, coincides with his ... Shhh! ... (snip!) ...

The way things are going at home right now though, he may be better off returning to the trust :cry3: :cry3: :cry3: We're all supposed to be "singing from the same song sheet", but, it appears *having* a say in rehoming a dog is vastly different from having an "active" say in rehoming a dog! Family is divided in what is the right and proper way of handling a dog (despite me being the only one with any hands on experience!); yet I am only "trusted" when it comes to feeding, watering and disciplining him. That does not bode well in doggy terms :cry3:

        Hi Kazzie

Well, we've had to have the "talk"; everyone simply has to know there is one way of doing things if we are not going to mess with his mind!

So far, so good. I'm still doing most of it, but then, I love him to pieces and don't mind that; but, the lads are now realising that is was *not* Ozzy's fault Moxie died and it is *not* Ozzy's fault that he needs consistancy in his world :nonofinger:

He's off to the vet on Friday for (shhh!) the snip so maybe my lads will feel a little more sympathetic towards him.

One of the lads has taken to grooming him occasionally (which is great for their bonding!); maybe I'm just impatient?

Good to hear you are getting some family support... maybe that 'thing' that's happening on Friday may help too.

Abi was a flipping nightmare for a good 18 months... it was just one thing after another. The sheer power she had on the lead was the biggest problem. Those teenage years are hard work! She has settled down loads, but can still be a challenge.

Keep up the good work with Ozzy... as you say, consistency is big!
