Before uploading this I researched by color, shape, everything I could think of. Now I must "depend on the kindness of strangers". It may be a California flower as that's where it was painted. Thanks in advance. flower ID.JPG

Aqualegia's are beautiful and not just the more usual blues, whites, pinks and purples and all shades inbetween. but also....

And best of all, these four and several more, all comes from the same seed head!
I was lucky enough to be given a seed head a couple of years ago, got loads of seeds to germinate and this is a small selection of the resulting plants. I know Aqualegia's don't grow true from seed and it shows as the plants range from 12" to 24" in height and nearly every one is different, be it colours, single/double, height or patterns. Can't wait until I can gather some dry seed heads this year and see what results I get next year!
