Well we have just demolished our pancakes, and though I say so myself, this year I surpassed myself.

I melted goats butter in my frying pan to cook the pancakes, then gave then the usual sugar and lemon juice treatment.

I think I should do them more often.

What are others doing with their pancakes, if made?:stirpot:

      Just finished mine.
Had one with a generous helping of maple butter, the other with a large dollop of ice cream. :)

I did ours. Wife had no topping at all on hers (bizarre, but then I've never understood women). The lad had chocolate sprinkles, and I had golden syrup.

I had mine last Saturday (try to limit my treats during the week!)

Crepe Suzzette -ish made with blood orange and dark rum instead of brandy. Was v nice! Shane you can't see the flames in the photo!

I made my other half American style pancakes with Nutella, Fluff and sliced bananas.

I'm a bit if a pro when it comes to making pancakes. If your having problems with them sticking, stop using packet mix. Pancake batter is flour, egg, milk and a Pinch of salt. Water makes them too sloppy!

Goats butter, --good one, will try. I am the kinda cook that loves to experiment.

try Riciotta cheese pancakes sometime, with raspberry sauce.

also love throwing in a roasted sweet potatoe.

Or half buckwheat flour and half regular with buttermilk

Love crepes, make them once in a while, really wanted to get a good crepe pan. then I could do the maniciotta again, and spinach onces, and buckwheat ones. Have to experiment with chocolate ones with butternut squash and goat cheese filling.

Love using up veggies in a potatoe pancake mixture. with sour cream topping, yum.

Got too drunk on homebrew to make pancakes yesterday, can't remember why (for obvious reasons), so will defer for a few days.

Ooooh, that sounds so good. :goodpost:

I might just make pancakes tomorrow, though I made vanilla blancmange today, to have with some mango slices.

                      Spoilt for choice.
