    Nice pics woo :thmb:

What a pity (in my opinion) the 'carbuncle' office block in the first shot immediately draws ones eye and the scenery, certainly on the left, could be easily missed. :(

Nice pics Woo, although I agree with Pip that office block does rather dominate the skyline.. Pity they were allowed to build it, but hey we can't stop these things.. Progress don't they call it..?? Still that is just me.... :D

Good morning Pip and Marley yes what an eyesore I have yet to meet anyone who likes it,built in the 1970,s.
Its called the Pentagon shopping Centre and the top part was used to be Lloyds but they have moved now,so its empty, and at present it contains the bus station but they are Building a new Bus station away from the Pentagon(so that will be gone soon)Here,s one I took earlier about 45 years ago just before they built it:hehe::)

Good panos woo.. they should bring bring back memories to me from when I used to live in Walderslade, Chatham. But with the passage of time all I can remember is the bridge and the castle. And of course the road we used to live in which has changed beyond recognition when viewed on google earth.

I missed this thread- what interesting archive photos Woo. The road looks very quiet with not much traffic around. I agree with the other comments I don't like the large building in the first photo but we have to accept progress I suppose.
