Papayas - grown in Kedi Junior's garden in Florida. He brought these two back with him a couple of weeks ago, the biggest one is almost 9 inches long.

We bought the tree last April-May when we were there on holiday, along with a couple of other fruit trees. It was only about 1.5 meters tall. There was no sign of even flowers at that time but when the kids went over during the summer holidays, there was. And now fruit!!!

We saw papaya trees in Cyprus and we have come to the conclusion that they must be wonder trees. We are convinced that no other tree can grow and produce fruit at the rate they do.

    You are entirely right.
When I lived in Kenya, we knew that if you dropped a paw-paw seed in a crack in the concrete, within a few weeks it would have sprouted and within a few mroe weeks you'd have a paw-paw tree producing the most delicious fruits.

It is number 2 to mangos as one of the best fruits on God's earth.

I'd love to go live in a country where these trees grow freely and easily. Me and my bones would be happy. :-)
