Hi all. This last season, I decided to plan on my note pad what i was going to grow and generally plan for the coming season. I kept the notepad hung up in the greenhouse, slow but surely I noticed the paper was being chewed away around the edges, I was intrigued by this happening and therefore inspected the situation on a daily basis in order to catch a glimpse of what may be causing the problem. I eventually noticed on the greenhouse glass, what looked like regurgitated or excreted paper, after cleaning the area I noticed the following day more paper had been chewed and transferred to the glass. I have not been able to trace the culprit. I was hoping someone maybe able identify the blighter.

    Thank you. Nobby. From Hull.

Mice will nibble away at the edges of books plus slugs & snails will slowly chew away at the sufaces of anything paper, including labels and instructions.

Sounds like wasps to me. They chew up paper and rotting wood then spit it out to make their nests.

I found my seed packets in the greenhouse were being chewed around the edges and eventually found the culprit - a snail was attached to the back of what was left of the 'Chinese Lanterns' packet. It must have been his favourite as there was very little left of it!
