    Well they taste delicious but don't resemble any parsnips I've seen in the shops?

    I think the bed is still too rich and maybe not free draining enough?

    Does it really matter what they look like when they taste delicious and you've grown them youreself :thumb:

    I rather suspect they have hit a few obstructions on the way. Titchmarsh sieves his soil for parsnips and carrots, you might want to try that more a more perfect shape.

    Jo, you should go to a village show to see if it matters or not-it`s deadly cutthroat at one of those with all sorts of mad rules, but for eating I agree with you.

    Claire I'd love to go to one, I must have a look to see when there's one locally(maybe not this late in the season though).
