Partial doubling of flowers

    Anyone any idea what is happening here? As you can see some of the flowers in a truss are double while others are still single.

      Mine too :rolleyespink: but I had saved it.. Long and short seems to be down to genetics. :scratch:

      If my understanding is correct, then it does explain why flowers double (or have other 'defects') but does not explain why some flowers on a stem are double and others not. Surely a mutation causing doubling should affect all the flowers? Odd!

      Yes I agree with you, I think I thought that it was maybe individual genes on a plant that were affected and caused the mutation, but otherwise not sure at all..
