Now that's what gardening is all about. Good looking and good tasting grub! What a super pic Elaine.

Your toms are at least three weeks to a month ahead of ours. Can't wait.

(Is that a red onion in the middle?)

I used to make wine, mostly blackberry and raspberry, thought I'd give it a go again a couple of years ago.
It was then I realised you cant buy the makings any more, yeast etc. Not round here anyway, everbody buys it these days, we dont have the time now.

hi strongylodon,iv only had 3 cucumbers so far and thats from 2 plants.at first they shot away and i had to tie more string for support etc.then a nice man dropped by and decided i had far too many flowers(id only left female) and proceeded to pick them off.taking off a few side shoots while he was at it. i was mortified.could hardly speek.i think i mumbled something like, err, right.trying to stay calm by repeating in my head, youve still got one over home, youve still got one over home....after that the plants turned a very pale green and produced fruit that immediately turned black.i gave them epsom salts(which they probably didnt need)then i sprinkled blood fish and bone around the base.they are now showing a few fruit again but only at the very top of the plant.any advice???
