passion flower

    i have a passion flower which 2 days ago finally showed me the first really pretty flower, i went away for 2 days and when i returned today the flower had closed up, i was wondering if this was normal? as i have never kept these before.

    Yep, its normal steve, usually only last a day sometimes two if its cool and cloudy.
    But then they dont usually open. [​IMG]

    steve b you may get passion fruits if you get some pollonation by insects....and loads more seeds from this fruit....which type is it ??

    That particular flower wont come back Steve, but you should have more buds coming, they can take a while to settle down.
    A picture would be great. [​IMG]

    thanks again pete i have got two pics, the first shows the buds, as you can see the bottom one was the first flower, the top left i suspect has been and gone while i was away, by the look of it. only one to go :( , apart from the little bud in the bottom left

    but as you can see from the other picture it is growing well and fast, it was only 20 inches approx 3 months ago.

    Yeah I reckon you'll get some more later on, give it time, and some more heat and sunshine.
