Bear in mind my gardening knowledge is nil, so please don't assume I've even described the plant correclty. In essence it is a climbing plant I've been training along a trellis on top of fence. Last couple of year good, this year all the l;eaves still brown and plant showing no sign of life.

Can I assume it is dead, or is it jsut too much growth and needs siginificant trim. The main stem appears alive.

    Any advice warmly welcomed

    Kev

Hi Kev & [IMG].. I think this winter has claimed a few of these.. They are not fully hardy for our cold temps... I have one up behind a greenhouse.. All the top growth on mine has died but the main stem is just starting to shoot now.. There are shoots up to 1" long & buds coming.. If your main stem is alive don't give up yet is all I can say as once they get going they will put out plenty of growth... :thumb:
