First they get the seeds a Patent, and we can only buy from THEM
Later they GM the seeds to be sterile plants, so no possible way of collecting seed yourself

    Next they RULE THE WORLD
A bit like the sterile Wheat the USA sell to African farmers

We could always just completely ignore them, and collect seed off our own plants surely? I've found that the few brassicas I grow (so far just broccoli and sprouts) produce loads of seed pods if you leave them to go over. That's after they've produced some impressive flowers.

So long as we keep doing it, we are OK
If we do not then we have to buy the seed, only available from xx company, which is then found to be sterile, and to be honest most gardeners will wonder into the trap
You had better believe that the owners of the seed will seek prosecution of sellers of non patented seeds will be hunted down and prosecuted

If you grow the various Brassicas together for a length of time, the seeds will revert to the Wild Cabbage that they all started from.

The Patent law doesn't restrict you from doing what you describe. :dbgrtmb: There will always be non-GM plants around and the seeds will be distributed. Although it could be a problem for commercial food growers. I'm not sure the courts will uphold the Patent if there is enough challenge to it and it may be onther reason put forward by political parties for opting out of the Union.
