We lost one of our rose bushes to winter damage this year. My wife brought home a small plant to replace it and I planted the new bush, which was rather small, in the same spot. After several weeks my wife lost patience with the plant not growing fast enough and wanted me to pull the plant and replace it. The plant seemed pretty healthy to me and I suggested we give it a chance. Well, last week the little plant produced two blooms and they are about the most beautiful roses I have ever seen.

I am sorry but I do not know the name of the rose, there was no tag on it. It may be a miniature, and now that it has flowered it seems to have gone into overdrive to make up for lost time. The photo shows the plant compared to a coneflower.

my amnesty international rose was very small , then in about a month it went mad , and caught up with the other climber.
I probably wont plant the buses ,:smile::smile: and look for Bushes instead.

I know exactly what you mean, however, I am growing them in the greenhouse and they are just about ready, and huge! I have no idea of the type, again, I did not save the packet. They look great, but I should soon find out what they taste like. Perhaps another day or so to pick, as we like them fully ripe. These are the biggest tomatoes I have ever grown, in the greenhouse or garden.

I am going to weigh one as I am curious as to what they weigh. The other thing is, that we have not had a homegrown tomato in almost year, that may affect our judgement about the taste after eating tasteless commercial tomatoes for months.

@hydrogardener , if labels elude you, perhaps lolly sticks?...
