Arun - nice to know there is some more expertise about, and good of you to offer.

Would you, by any chance know where I can get hold of a complete copy of Flashplayer v8. I had to reformat my hard disk recently - I have Windows98. I need flash for some internet applications, and it can be downloaded free fron the Adobe site. But they now only offer version 9, which is not compatable with Windows98. I have got it bodged at the moment with a Flash9 installation and have replaced Flash9.ocx with Flash8.ocx, from another hard disk, renamed as Flash9. It works. But its rather flakey, as I do not understand how it works, It wouldn't need much of a change by Adobe for it to not work next time.

I have all the Flash8 files on my other hard disk, but I don't know how to install them manually. I use the other disk for backups, but can't use it as my main disk as it won't install my camera software.

Its not available on the adobve site as far as i can see

 

Arun - you are a gem - thats wonderful.

Tried and tested - works fine - and also gives me the option to save it as an install file. I looked everywhere for it.
