Hi, I've bought a peace lily for my kitchen window and was wondering if any if you could advise on the best care in terms of how often to feed/water and generally look after it please.

    :thanks:

These are very easy to care for @Sienna's Blossom. They grow like stink and need splitting from time to time. Mine seem to like plenty of water, but I didn`t feed them very often.
Do you have a cat? If the pollen gets on a cat`s fur, it can kill the cat when it washes it off.

Hi @Tetters , many thanks for the reply. That's great news that they are easy to care for, I'll make sure to keep it well watered then, and I'm glad they don't need feeding too much.

We do have a cat, and so I did a bit of research which said that whilst other types of lilies can be fatal to cats, the peace lily does not cause acute kidney failure but can cause vomitting etc if ingested. I've attached a link to the page, which I thought was interesting information.

We will no longer bring in other lilies (in bouquets etc for vases) which we have done in the past, as although she's never come to harm before with them, I wouldn't like to take the risk.
