    Hi all

I have a peach bush in a Malaysian pot (large). 8 years old

last year 23 going into 24 I had to leave out of the greenhouse over winter and late spring .. it did get a little peach leaf curl and I picked off the effected leaves.

my question, I brought into the greenhouse from October do you think it will already have PLC or should it be clear when it re sprouts

    Hi @Spruce
Forgive me if I'm being a bit dim, but is a peach bush a small peach tree - or a peach tree a large peach bush?
If so, we have a peach tree in the garden of the house we bought just over a year ago, and last summer we were pleasantly surprised to harvest a few perfectly edible fruit from the tree that remains outdoors all year round, planted in the ground.
The leaf curl doesn't seem to affect its ability to fruit.
Is it looks you are concerned about, or its fruitability!!

I've virtually given up on peaches just because of leaf curl, I've had a tree or two for many years but the last 10 yrs or so its got so bad that the trees have been leafless by July, they do grow a second set of leaves after then but its usually too late and most of the fruit has fallen.
I'm still carry on with them, I live in hope for some dryer weather.

Its difficult to say at what point the disease gets spread, I assume it overwinters on the stems.
How about a copper spray before the buds break, I think copper was the usual spray for it.

My understanding is that the disease gets into the buds as they form between January ish and March ish each year, so I would expect your bush to be curl-free this year - if I were you I'd be cautious and keep it under cover till April or so...

(Note to self: This really is the year in which I'll put a raincover over the outdoor peach!)
