    Hello

I have a Bolero Ballerina apple tree that's about 6feet high. Yesterday I noticed the very top leaves have blood-red thickened patches. I checked the RHS fruit and veg book and it looks exactly like peach leaf curl. I double checked that peach leaf curl doesn't also affect apples and it doesn't mention them in the list of possible casualties. Is it possible? Nothing else in the garden has anything like it.

Never heard of it affecting apples Craig.

I have both apple trees and peach trees, with leaf curl, but have never seen it on the apple trees.

A picture of the apple leaves might help someone get to the bottom of what it is, but I cant think it could be peach leaf curl.

Pete, thank you for your reply. I thought it was strange to see it on apples. It was the spitting image. Unfortunately I removed the affected leaves and put them straight in the bin as if it was peach leaf curl so no pics. I'll wait and see what happens to the rest of the plant.
