Last year for Mothers Day my son bought me a dwarf peach tree, covered in lovely blossom. I kept it in the greenhouse, and this year, after it had flowered, I fed it each week with tomato food, as advised my my son's colleague. The fruit set, and as time went by it became covered in tiny little green peaches. I went on holiday, and returned to find they had all ripened!!!!
They are the size of plums, but are juicy, sweet and delicious!
I never knew you could grow peaches in England!

    Well done Jen.

Maybe if you thinned them slightly next year you will get larger fruit.

    Thats wonderful jen ! :gnthb:
I bought a dwarf 'apricot' from T&M which turned out to be a not so dwarf peach. However its in a large container and apart from being in the greenhouse while the blossom was on, it has been outdoors. It had a fair few fruit but all but 7 fell off. They grew huge. Bigger than tennis balls ! They fell off the branches everso slightly before ripening though. I picked them up though and they were tasty.
