Roaming my gardens this morning was suprised by a Peacock. First he was down in my valley area. Ran and got my cell for pic. He was just struting and honking around.

He's lovely Esther, recon he'd stay around if you fed him:)

Love it when they go off, they horn if they get startled by a loud noise.

Yes, April to September. Watch out for it getting on your car roof and scratching up the paintwork.

What a lovely picture Redstar... they really are beautiful birds. I'm having problems keeping my neighbour's peacock out of the garden... last year it took the heads off all my tall verbena and the rabbits have fun with the lower plants... lol, oh the joy of having a wildlife garden!

thanks. Got home last night, no sound of him. Hope where he lives they realized he was missing and went looking, not hard to find him, just listen for his honking.

He'll be back, could be their long range Peacock. I was surprised how high up a tree they roost.

Well he will need to roost high, as we have a fox family in the area that love the fowl.

Not sure what impresses most... the location of the peacock or the spic and span bedroom x

That`s a picture of Mr wilson happy to see me every evening

the room was a challenge , I had to manage to do all the room with a budget of £500
that included plastering the wall a new floor and the cupboard .

The room looks lovely... I wish I was brave enough to use colours other than cream!

Last summer we were sitting outside the front when the local peacock arrived. All was well until another one appeared... my neighbour ran scared:

How neat. they are beautiful. That reminds me, the tail feathers on the one in my yard were not that long, in fact one side looked damaged. Poor fellow. Did not see him this morning.

we as kids grew up with mean banie chickens and attacking geese, so peacock was easy for me that morning. I'd love to have a few. I think they are large enough that the cats could not handle them, but then again there are the foxes. So probably no a good idea. Maybe the fellows tail feather damage was from a fox trying to get him.
