i know peas are planted around April time but my question is do you plant the peas straight into the ground or is it best to plant them in (pots now) in the greenhouse to start them off and then plant when they have grown a bit.

    Hi Golfer
A few of the guys down on our site tend to plant their peas in pots to start them off and then once they are bigger plant them out.... something about beating the mice/rats as they tend to like to eat them before the peas get a chance to sprout.

A few others just plant straight out so it's really your own personal choice.

I have to confess we will be growing whatever we can (other than root vegetables that is) first potted up at home in the gh and then planted out just because I do believe at least that way I will be able to tell the seedlings from the weeds!:hehe: Hel.xxx.
