Should I nip the tops off my pea plants ? I've never done it in the past but I always do it with Sweet Peas, and was wondering if I should also do it with edible ones ...

No nipping necessary let them do their own thing.

You could nip a couple off at the end of the row and see if it makes any difference once you crop them ...?

Don't know exactly why but many of our plants from seeds have grown very leggy this year so have been nipping things off all sort of flowers and veg to encourage bushiness.
@JWK s GD toms seeds were so bad we had to take the top off and root it in water to make a new plant, letting the main plant grow up and on from a low down side shoot.

My peas have done this and that's one reason I asked the question. I may try to nip the tops off a few and see what happens

It's not the normal practise to pinch out the tips of edible peas but it will be interesting to see how yours perform @Michael Hewett
