I had to take Penny to the Vets to day,she has been, which as I can only describe as snorting and sneezing for the last couple of days,he said that It could be Lungworm which is very prevalent these days contracted through Slugs and Snails, ect. But I don,t think he really knows ,he has Given her two Injections (Synulox and Metacam)Plus 7 days of Synulox Tablets and Some virals of Advocate which go on the back of her neck and is supposed to prevent everything from fleas Worms to Mange ect,and then said if she is no better on friday to take her back at 9.20am and he will have to anesthetise her and look at her throat,I just hope that she will be OK.:(

Hi Woo,sorry to hear about Penny.I have just Googled Lungworm which I have never heard of in dogs before and it says that Foxes can pass it on in their Feaces and as you have foxes in your garden it could be the problem:(

It might be worth your while having all your dogs treated for worms then it might help them.We have to keep worming our cats because they eat a lot of mice and the mice have the worms inside them, that get passed onto the cats when they eat them:oops:

I do hope you don't have to take her back on Friday and do keep us posted and send her lots of :luv: and xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:)

Awww poor Penny, lets hope the treatment works for her.
Its good that she is a little better today.
Its so upsetting when they are poorly and cant tell you how they feel.
Fingers and toes crossed that she will be back to her smiley self again soon Woo. 02

    Hi Woo,
Poor Penny. I expect your dogs are up to date with all their injections so hopefully it is nothing serious.
Could it be a type of dog flu? I don't know anything about hayfever in dogs.
My last dog [years ago] got parvo virus sadly.
