I have just taken Penny out for her walk, something I said I would do regardless of the weather, she has been limping for a couple of days but I can't see anything wrong with her back leg,I think she done running up the stairs, she does put it down on the ground sometimes, and when she sees the postman it seems to disappear but as soon as she gets indoors she starts lifting it again, she's not in any pain so I will wait and see for a couple of days to see how it progress's

My mums lab does this all the time

Sometimes shes limping sometimes she isnt and sometimes shes seriously limping then next min running around like a maniac

Have you checked her pad on that foot and in between her toes. This is sometimes the reason for my mums dog limping is because in between her toes is sore

My cat also holds her front leg up now and then as if its hurt or broken but i think shes just jolted it

Hopefully its nothing and she stops limping soon

Ah it was a long shot anyway but always worth a check. Mums lab lucy is allergic to the grass or sand or something in llangollen wales so she itches and chews her feet a lot after going.

If penny has no problem with you touching the leg, hip or paw and doesn't jerk or react or make a noise when you do then I'm sure she is fine and the limping will stop

She could have pulled a muscle WO, hopefully she'll be fit as a fiddle soon.

My Meg suffers from this at certain times of year. I can't get the bottom of exactly what it is that's irritating her.

Yep same. She gets itchier when my parents go to their place in wales so its def being there that it flares up.

At first we thought it was insects in the sand along the river bank but the other lab never itches there or has a problem and they roll around in the same areas so why would insects bite one and not the other.

She gets red lumps on her stomach and really itchy feet so its something in wales along the river dee that she doesn't come into contact with in solihull but we just don't know what.

I don't think it's sand related Dips, as when she is bad I just walk her on the beach and she's fine. I think it could be either a fungus spore or a seed?

Sorry for hijacking your thread Woo
