I retired many years ago and gardening has been my main hobby ever since. I have a large garden close to the centre of a busy town, but close to a large park, a water park and nature reserve. I have many birds in my garden-wood pigeons, collared doves, gold finches, sparrows, blackbirds, blue tits, starlings and many, rather unwanted, park pigeons. The latter, with the many grey squirrels, eat most of the food I put out for the more favoured birds.

    A warm welcome.

Looking forward to learning a lot from a full time gardener.

I wonder if you want to be using your Email address as your "handle" here. Every scrumbag in Christendom will harvest your address and sell it to other scumbag spammers :(

Welcome to GC, If it is your email address Kristen is right, maybe not a good idea. The place where you say you live describes exactly my locaotion, are you from Manchester by any chance? 02

Thanks Kristen and Takemore for advice regarding E mail address. I have duly acted upon it. Many thanks to the people who changed it for me. I am only just finding my way about computors and they don't always do what I tell them.
