    Poppies taken this morning in the sunshine Droopy Davids in the background feeling the continus heat.

    Oh I love my peopny poppies,you have just reminded me that I don't seem to have any anymore. I found that years of collecting seed and planting made them all the same colour as yours pictured, I used to have some red and almost black ones too.

    Hi , I had exactly the same problem, I originally had singles in dark red, white and a tawny shade. Over the years they became exactly like yours, very pretty but I got fed up with them, have now got some new seeds.... but found a seedling or 2 of the pink had travelled into my new garden!
    I never collected seed, they did it all themselves. I had the same problem with hollyhocks, they all became single pink, but did have a variety of shades.

    I think over time they just revert. I used to place tape over colours I wanted to collect, but they still reverted to one colour.
