pepino cuttings

Sometime towards the back end of last summer I mentioned that I would probably have some cuttings available this spring, but I cant remember who it was that wanted them.
Could they let me know again. :(

 

As far as you like, dont think it matters much, they'll probably flower earlier with a lighter trim.

 

Come on who was it, own up.

 

What is pepino? The name rings a bell, but I can't remember who. Can you check your messages from that time?

 

Hi, don't mean to butt in, but I was searching for feijoa to see if anyone else had grown it and I found this

In which pete2255 mentions he has been growing them and has got flowers and fruit, which is what I wanted to know, and ladybird says at one stage she wants pepino seeds but I think later had some.

 

A pepino Fran, tastes very much like a melon, its got very thin skin and you can keep them right through the winter.

Feijoa Liz, I got three small trees grown as standards, they flower quite well but need to be hand polenated I find, although mine were grown from seed. I think there are proper fruiting varieties that you can get.
As for the pepino, I've tried looking through old posts but I cant seem to find the one I'm thinking of.

If you never find that person, and you still have some pepino cuttings to spare, could I be cheeky and ask for one! I've been looking it up, and it sounds really interesting - not to mention a reasonably manageable size, for once!

 

Pm me your adress, I'm offering unrooted cuttings, but anyone such as youself shouldn't have any problems, they root just in water on the window sill.
