Perennial veg' ?

Hi, is anybody growing purely perennial veg' ? Or anyone have experience of growing perennial vegetables ?
I have quite a lot of things growing in my veg patch which was originally to be looked after by my good wife. Well, that didn't happen and the planning, sowing e.t.c. has been left to me. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the odd spud for dinner but I do find it a chore to keep on top of as I like to concentrate on my shrubs, flowers e.t.c. Perhaps a perennial veg plot would suit us both ?
