I bought a vinca minor in flower in spring 2007. It made no more flowers that year. Last spring it put on loads of lovely new green leafy growth, but no flowers and the same this year :(
It gets no sun over the winter, but the shade is not deep. I bought it as a shade lover, is that right? It looks otherwise healthy and is a good sized clump.
Any suggestions what might get it flowering again?
    Thanks :)

I've seen vinca minor in flower this year but only on a very well established bank and in full sun. It's described as liking partial shade but I've always regarded it as a rampant ground cover plant that will go anywhere, sun or shade. I've spent ages digging it out after the previous owners of my house let it loose in the garden. Keep a close eye on it.....!

I too would wait. I thought I had acquired a duff one a few years back-it took three years before I saw a good show of flowers-other than the odd one or two, it certainly is good ground cover and seems to be okay, no signs of it going bonkers yet, but I'll keep an eye open.

That's good to hear, thanks guys :) I wasn't about to pull it up-the foliage is nice, specially this new green growth. Just wanted to know if I could be doing anything. I'll practice that most important of gardening skills-waiting-lol!

Flowers better in sun/ partial shade.

Minor isn't as rampant as major but in a rockery both are a pain

I have the same problem with one well established and a new one - hardly any flowers, just the odd random one xx
