Has anyone grown it before?I only did 2 rows for Mr.Fizz`z canaries but there`s masses of it.The pigeon men on allotment tell me the pigeons love it and take a few leaves when they want so i was thinking maybe i should freeze it.Do i just cut it up,bag it and shove in the freezer?

    Mrs.DAG's routine:

Wash it carefully, leave wet, put in polythene bags and squeeze and flatten the bag tightly to get the air out, and seal.

Don't put too much in each bag, and when you take it out of the freezer, just chop it while frozen, easy to do providing its not too chick!

Don't need water to cook, just at knob of butter and cook for 1 - 2 minutes.

Try not to keep for more than 6 months ;)

We found it to be a good replacement for lettuce when fresh and raw in salads.
