The Perseids meteor shower peaks tonight. If you have clear skies and look NE you should see some spectacular fireworks.
Not looking very promising here though!

I shall be outside tonight, trying to see this meteor shower. We don't have street lights where I am, so it's always pitch black outside. So, with a bit of luck me and hubby might see some of it.

The firework display was a bit of a damp squib. The cloud thinned late evening and I could see stars, but a thin layer remained and this combined with the light from Dundee reflecting from it made for less than good conditions. I only saw 3 meteors round about midnight, and they were visible for only a second or less.

It was a lovely clear sky here with zillions of stars but sadly I only saw one shooting star! :( Hopefully they will come out to play tonight. :)
