Personalising postings

Can someone help please? I have been trying to figure out how to add some pictures (not avatars)
into postings. :confused: Two examples I am really envious of are the inserts used by Marley Farley & Mona Lisa Please when answering (if anyone does)bear in mind that I am a fully paid up member of the Troglodite movement and my technical knowledge on a computer extends as far as switching on & off Anything more complicated I am in trouble but willing to learn something new so bring it on..... please :rolleyes:

 

This is how I do it (and I'm not great with computers either!) I am assuming you have a digital camera, and have loaded your pictures onto your computer?

You need to open up a (free) account with an on-line album company. The one I use (and have had no bother with whatsoever) is called 'photobucket'. If you don't have one -

Just search for photobucket online, then register.
Go into 'my albums'.
Click on the browse button to upload photos from your own album. (A window will appear and you click on the image you eant to upload - you can do one at a time, or up to about 20 - which will take a long time!)
Once you have browsed, and chosen your pics, they will appear as thumbnails.
Click on a thumbnail - then find the 'resize' button (above the picture)
Re-size it to messageboard (it will be too big otherwise).

Under the picture, are three boxes. Right click on the bottom box, (IMG code), then click 'copy'
Come back to your post in GC, click the cursor back into your post, then right click again - and press 'paste'. The IMG link will appear - but when you post your post - it will transform into a picture!

Hope that helps - though have just had a funny feeling there will probably be a post telling you step by step, better than I somewhere on here!
