I'm new to this forum, but wonder if you guys agree with my idea!
I am,this growing season, going to use slug killer as a preventative.
I plan to decimate the slug population in areas where I intend to
grow salads and around flowers like Lupins and Marigold .

I use bowls immersed to soil level.I disolve a packet of yeast
in powder form (0,14 Pence) in three pints of warm water
and three-quarter fill the bowls.

Even in this relatively cold weather I discover dozens and dozens of

casualties in the morning.
Am I kidding my self thinking that I can minimise damage

to my plants this sommer or is this a winner ??

If your system works and you're killing slugs it's got to be helping. Every dead slug, snail, caterpillar you find
means less to eat your salads. You won't kill them all though!! Don't forget to bin them as if you leave them
they can poison the birds if you decide to use slug pellets. I tell my long suffering neighbour that I have no slugs or snails in my garden because I keep throwing any I find into his garden!!
