We had our lawn scarified and have found that we have a pest that looks similar to the leatherjackets as it is similar looking. Any one know what type of pest this is? Thanks.

    A picture would be helpful.

When they were dug up never thought to take a picture. They only came to light with the scarification. Some pesticide was applied by the people doing the lawn. As the lawn has almost recovered don't really want to dig it up again. LOL!

Ok. Nearly impossible to identify a pest from a one line description and no picture, but I'll have a stab anyway!

    Is it a Chafer grub?

It did not look like a chafer grub. I will try and find out from the people that did the lawn what type of grub it was and let you know. Thanks anyway.

Thanks. I must admit I am now not sure what type of grub it was even looking at the pictures.
