its about quarter of a mile away from my home
the river petterill flows into the river eden in carlisle city centre
the river caldew also flows through carlisle and also joins the eden about 2 miles downstream of the petterill, al 3 rivers burst there banks in 2005 flooding large parts of the city
i was one of the lucky ones (live on high bank close - which is a high bank so safe from flooding)
