I would like to try and grow Phlox from seed. Should they be put straight into the ground or should they be started in a propagator.?

:thumb: Hi Dan, I started mine off in a seed tray in the cold frame then pricked them out & potted them up.. It was a few years ago now, but I thought I planted them out around April time, but I might be wrong.. They took a while to grow & I grew them on in pots then planted them out when they were a descent size to protect from the weather slugs etc...!!:D

I agree with Marley. I think on principle it is better to start most things off in pots. You are in contol.
