I make watercolour pictures and turn them into birthday cards etc but on this windows 11 laptop the 'thing' that enables me to crop, lighten/darken, sharpen photos is hopeless.
Does anyone know of a good 'thing' that I can download, which will enable me to do this easilly. I really need an easy one to use.
    Thanks in advance

Don't have Win 11 but on 10 I use the Photos application to brighten up and crop quickly. Also use Adobe Lightroom which has a few more advanced editiing features or for the few times I need to get serious Gimp, which has all the features of photoshop but is free. Photoshop is the gold standard but is very expensive and complicated. When using Gimp I google the editing process I need and watch a video as a reminder.

I use Lightroom. I find it great though it has suddenly lost all my Plug ins.

I use rawtherapee and have also used darktable. Both are the free open source equivalents of lightroom. I preferred rawtherapee as I prefer the work flow.
I did use lightroom for a few years until I got too annoyed with Adobe, I think it was a bit easier to use than rawtherapee. I use these to edit RAW pictures from my camera, mainly cropping, sharpening, colour correction, vignette etc. You can't cut and paste etc with those

Gimp is the free equivalent of Photoshop which can be a bit more involved for photo editing

I'd try rawtherapee and if you don't like it then try a trial of lightroom, assuming it has a shorter learning curve
