I have the Epson R300 with the Epson perfection 1250 flatbed scanner at the moment.
I have noticed that some of my photos have started to get marks on them after printing , It isn't the scanner I have blown the photos up and looked closely.
    It's the printer.
It's leaving scuff marks in lines.
I'm not sure what it might be , any ideas?
I have had this printer for a while so am thinking about a new one.
    The 3 in 1 kind.
Can anyone suggest a good photo printer / scanner please.
I would like an Epson because I find the ink is cheaper.
    But which one.:cnfs:

Just got a new HP photosmart express and it is great to be honest. It is set up for photo printing and such. We bought it off someone who got it for free with their pc for £20, so don`t know the price it retails at.

Kind of a difficult judgement to make Lyn.
Your scanner is a very good one (I've a 1240U) and appears to work well. So you don't really need a new scanner. The problem with combined scanners/printers is that if one part fails you have to replace the whole thing and I'm not totally convinced that a multi-purpose scanner-printer will produce as good as results as two seperate items. Since you already have a good good scanner, why not just go for a good photo printer? I can't really comment on the present state of the market as it changes almost month by month, but I used Epson printers for about 8 years and although the output was very good I often encountered problems with clogged jets and lines on photos. Two years ago I changed to a Canon printer and it has proved much more reliable.

    Thank you for the advise.
    I might just do that.
Get a good photo printer and keep the scanner I have.
It's not that I scan or print that many photos anyway.
It's just when I do it's really annoying when they have marks on them, as they are normaly for display or for other people.
