I posted this in Site Feedback and Bugs but thought it should be here instead.
I am having problems uploading pictures. When I upload a new pic it always gets reduced to a thumbnail, even though the pic is the correct size, specified by the forum.
I know in some areas it is preferred that thumbnails aren't used. Can somebody please shed some light on how I can upload without it turning into a thumbnail. :)

Well firstly.. How are you loading your pics Sheal.. I think most of us on the whole use a free image hosting site.. Usually Photobucket Imageshack or Tinypic I think..

I use Photobucket and find it very easy to use.

I'm not keen on looking at the thumbnails that people post because they are awkward for a number of reasons.
They don't come up all that large even when clicked on.
When i want to go back to the tthread I have to remember to click on the 'back' arrow and not just close the photo as closing the photo shuts the thread down.
If I'm doing a reply to the thread I can't just scroll down to the photo for another look as thumbnails don't appear when you are in 'reply' mode.

As Marley says, a free image hosting site is a good option. :dbgrtmb:

    Thanks Marley and Shiney,
The images have been uploaded to the forum directly from my pc in accordance with the size specified by the forum which is 800 x 600. I also tried halving the size to 400 x 300 with the same result.

When they were posted to the forum they reduced to a thumbnail.
