Sorry but I dont find any problems.

It can be slow if you go from thumnail to actual picture, but as I just upload and post IMG its not really a problem.

The editing bit is slowish for me too.

I find the bulk uploader a bit quicker to use.

I've never used the editing bit.
    I never took it seriously.

You need a proper programme for editing.

    Dont you??

could it make a difference divide the bulk of pictures in different albums so that whatever you do to them there is less to upload?

When I first started using Photobucket to post photos on here, I found it a pain too, it kept 'freezing' on me and nearly drove me mad.

Then on advice from Mrs Trunky (who knows about such things) I tried resizing the photos on my computer to 'web large' before uploading them to Photobucket, haven't had much trouble since.

If you are uploading a stack of photos to or from different albums it takes the same time as uploading to a single album.

It's very much faster to do any editing/resizing on your PC before uploading to Photobucket. You'll also end up with better quality images as the resizing on PB seems to be a rather lossy process.

Every aspect of photobucket has always been very slow for me, they do it on purpose to annoy you into upgrading (i.e. paying) for the Pro Subscription.

Is there a better alternative though?

I only edit online when Photobucket rotates my pics when uploading and I have to edit online to rotate them back again.

And I get fed up with keep being told I'm the lucky 100,000th visitor that day, or that I've won yet another iphone:

I hate them little wobbling adverts as well !

A good free photo editor is Picasa ~ Picasa ~ Its owned by Google.

Why also do we get the image has been resized bar on top of the photos now - very irritating :gaagh:

Hi Gogs, I think when you edit in Photobucket it uses Picnic & Picnic is closing down soon so that may have something to do with it... What are you running Gogs XP or Win 7.?
The easiest & best free software on line I think is Photo editor online / free image editing direct in your browser - Pixlr.com Very easy & quick to use & resizes in a jiffy.. Give it a try Gogs & then upload your pics already edited & resized to PB.. :sunny:

I don't have any trouble with it but I never bother to edit - just upload, click on IMG and post on GC. Very easy, pretty quick :dbgrtmb:

Scrungee, you can't be the 100,000 the visitor as I always am!

The only thing that annoys me with PB are the video ads. They suddenly burst into sales voices or songs. Of course, that's easily solved by a quick flip of the off button on the speakers. :heehee:

I gave up on PB ages ago. Also Imageshack and Tiny Pics for the same reasons. Plus all of them would dump an attempted upload for no known reason.

So a nice friend created me my own image uploader which nobody else uses and I can even change the dimensions of the picture a few pixels at a time as there is no set list I have to choose from!
I am finally a happy bunny!
