Can anyone point me in the right direction.
I am looking to get a weekly/monthly photography magazine.
I need something that will help me to obviously take better photos, and learn about lighting and how to set my camera for different conditions etc.
At the moment it's a bit hit and miss.
I would like to learn more.
    Any thoughts ?

Practical Photography is a very good magazine IMO. With a lot of useful articles every month.

What camera do you have, is it a DSLR, Bridge or point and shoot?

    Regards

    Steve...:)

Hi Lyn They are all Informative in some way But as Steve says and I must agree Practical Photography has the Edge But most of them tend to lean towards the DSLR Camera I use a DSLR and a Bridge Camera ,The magazines help me with Both,Here's just some of them:)

    Thank you so much.
    You explain it so well.
So I have a Bridge camera.
I am amazed at some of the photos I do take .
    I shock myself sometimes.
    Really I have no idea.
I just point and shoot, hardly ever change the settings.
When I do I panic and put it back how it was.
Everything is on off or auto.
Or they way it was when I first got the camera.
I'm thinking if I can take nice photos without even trying what would they be like if I understood the camera , photography and what I was doing.
I use the camera on P
With the hand shake on 2 and AF & the macro flower is in the view finder.I no this is for close up.
Then there are a couple of other things on there I'm not sure about.
One is a spot inside 2 brackets in a square and the other is a circle in a circle with 2 arrows each side and AFAREA next to it.
There is also a Square in the bottom left corner diagonal half black half white with a plus sign in the black and minus in the black with + 1/3 next to it.
I'm going to have a good read of the manual again today.
I must get to grips with it.:D
    Thanks again.

Hi Lyn AF Area Is very useful when you are Recording Pictures in Motion It allows you to Focus on any part of the Picture:)

The Square in question which has two triangles in it One Black+One White and a + and-
Is the EV Button (Exposure Value) This Refers to the amount of Light given to the CCD, Which replaces the Film in a Digital Camera My advice for what it is worth is to leave this Button untill later ,If you need to know anything else just ask:)
