Out in Florida for some R&R this week, spent the morning wandering around the Fairchild Tropical Garden just south of Miami, well worth a trip if you are ever out here & need a break from Disney etc..

Heres a few photos - annoyingly a little over exposed, havent got to grips with the long lense on the new camera yet:

.. hopefully a little bit of inspiration for the year ahead !

Many more palms & things in the album here: I havent had a chance to do any tidying up on these & some are quite badly blown out, but should give you an idea. Meanwhile, Im off to Key West for a few days.

Lk, I was wondering the same thing.
Fairchild is a place I have wanted to go to for a long time, I have only been to Florida once but I was on the opposite side.

Nice pictures, especially good to see this time of the year.

        Oxfordnick,
I was at Fairchild about 10 years ago.

Are there still those clumps of those massive Crinums?

        Crinum amabile
Huge clumps with pinkish flowers .
They were in flower in December when I was there.
