Well after being away for Christmas with the rats at my mums, and Julian being responsible for the house, I've returned and found a bomb site. Its really quite nasty, and I miss my mums house because i'd never really noticed before how lovely she keeps it and how well decorated it is.
I've decided to attempt to rearrange things and decorate best i can in the letting restrictions, and would love to see photos of peoples homes for inspiration! Not strictly Christmassy pics either i should add as i have no christmas decs! Hehe!

Thank you and i look forward to being incredibly nosey.

What does your home look like at the moment?

A few pics could inspire someone on here with artistic flair to suggest colours, designs etc ;)

There's one of my living room and part of my kitchen on my Casadinho site and I could cobble a few together.

However, I agree with Webmaster that a few of what your rooms look like now, and perhaps some thoughts on what you would like to have, that would be useful for those budding interior designers! [IMG]

Well here's Dave's playroom. Needs decorating and a major tidy-up, but it's my little haven. [IMG]

Dave, I had no idea that arch was there. In 1980 ish I removed a 1950s tiled fire place surround and pulled out an old coal fired boiler that took a ton of coal and a fortnight to produce half a bath of tepid water. A rumbling cracking noise followed, a load of jerry builders rubble fell down and revealed the arch and the alcove down to floor level.

I pulled the arch bricks forward a tad, rebuilt the flue for the gas fire, and voila!

Having discovered the alcove I wanted to put a cylindrical stainless steel "Studio" heater in it, but it was vastly too expensive at the time. Probably still is.

couldn't help but take this last night - dogs under the desk, G&T at the ready, fancy weather station that I can't read looking at me and warning me of what temperature my greenhouse is not at, AND of course GC on the PC.

Evening Waco, and that is a beautiful picture! G&T ... that's a tumbler glass so now I know why when you say you hve a LARGE G&T ....

Nice tidy desk, I like that ... in saying that, I am higgeldy-piggeldy at the moment!

Your weather station sort of looks like ours but as I said ours is not remote control and a good job as I'd never know what's going on ... :D

whiley,I find I like traditional and with you being young like my daughters they both like modern no clutter so looking at their places they are both into cream carpets, coffee coloured walls with a splash of red just finishes a room off, accesssories like cushions and glass vases.
I have also changed my lounge beige carpet, dark furniture, beige curtain and also have splashes of red around the room, my daughters seem to go for pine furniture. will takes a few photos to give you an idea.
