    Why not just attach the pictures to the message here?

    When I look back through the forums I often see "Photobucket picture no longer available" which is a bit annoying, if you upload them here that won't happen, of course :thumb:

    (Perhaps its to do with photography submissions, in which case maybe they need to be external?)

    Hosting a picture on a.n.other site is all very well untill that site closes down for what ever reason.

    You can host pictures on here at GC and put them in your posts.
    Below is how its done.

    Click on User CP
    [IMG]

    Left hand side will be "your control panel"

    [IMG]

    Under the title "networking" click on "pictures and albums"

    Click "add album" Give your new album a title etc

    [IMG]

    Follow instructions to upload picture (you "look" at your comuter and select where the picture is and select "upload Picture")

    Congratulations you now have a picture in your album. Repeat as required.

    How to add an album picture to your post

    Look in your album and choose a picture

    Click on the picture it will then show the picture url and BB code.

    Copy the BB code

    Go to your post and paste the BB code your picture will now appear in your post.

    [IMG]

    Before you click on submit post, the code will look similar to

    {IMG}http://www.gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/picture.php?albumid=49&pictureid=180{/IMG}

    But to stop you seeing two identical pictures, I changed the brackets above from [ ] to { }

    good luck

    Hi

    Thanks for replies however when one is in a new thread and they want to add photo does one then have to go to another part of garden forum because if you do then that will take you out of the new thread you are trying to do i hope you understand what i am getting at i am a bright sort of person but i am finding it difficult to add a a photo or photos at the moment.

    It used to be easy via photo bucket however as i explained in earlier thread unable now to paste a photo from there any further advice would be welcome.

    So why not open another window, so you you have 2 windows open. 1 in your GC Album the other the post you are doing.. double click on the photo you want to use in your album & get it to full size. Then copy the URL & go back to your other window that is your GC post & paste in the URL asI said in the earlier link I gave you on how to use your GC album..

    :scratch: Hmmm.. Not sure why they are not working then, but if you go to the "Photo Competitions" forum. There is a sticky thread there about how to post from your GC album called.." Competition photo sizes from your GC albums", this also tells you how to post your photo full size & not as thumbnails, as some peole are unable to open them.
    Also.
    In FAQ there is the thread. "How to post a photo into a thread".. :wink:

    I have found that where you used to just have to click on the appropriate link and it automatically copied it then you paste it into the post

    NOW

    You have to click it, right click and copy and then paste into the appropriate place.

    Not sure if this is what you mean but it is what has happened with mine

    hope this helps
