My understanding is that this is a 24 hour Amazon deal that will expire at midnight tonight (Mon 16th Dec), so if you want it don't dither

@Steve R I've only just noticed that my 3 camels alert is still set up for Elements 11.

Have you heard rumours of Adobe going over entirely to subscription based software? (so no more lump sum then use for years)

Yes I have...called the creative cloud subs are around £9 (for full Photoshop) per month at the moment IIRC and sales for Adobe are low at present hence why the price is low, I would expect that to double fairly quickly in the not too distant future. Adobe would get much more take up if they lowered their prices to make it affordable for amateurs. If it was more affordable more would buy into it and they would make so much more money. Photoshop and Photography go pretty much hand in hand for serious amateurs and up.

        Steve...:)

PS edited the thread title to reflect the 24 hour sale...cheers Scrungee

I did wonder that, rather than having Adobe dip into one's wallet every month, if a whole stash of images could be saved up and edited over the course of a month using their very latest software, then let the subscription expire.

That is quite true: I checked the Amazon link and it is no longer available at £32.99
However, it is available at £43.99 and would still equate to a saving of £10.76 against the Adobe sale price (or, £34.01 on the Adobe full price) :dbgrtmb:
