Phygelius Funfare Yellow

    Hi, I was wondering wether anyone has got a Phygelius Funfare Yellow if so how big has it got to and what sort of soil is it growing in, also is it in sheltered or exposed area of the garden. :) Carl.

      It will grow in just about any soil and is as hardy as anything . Prefers full sun, but tolerant of some shade. Likes water, but drying out will not kill it, just slow its growth down. Can get big if not kept in check, and may spread by suckers too.

        Ya not kidding longk, I have 'Salmon Leap' which has travelled under a gravel path and popped up in the greenhouse!!!! where its loving it and in full flower :heehee:

        Booger me! I have "Funfare Wine" which is planted in a wall made from those hollow concrete blocks - like to see it escape from there!

            I have Funfare Cream and Funfare Orange and I love them! This thread has explained why they are the only plants I haven't managed to kill over the last few years! They have travelled with me from house to house in their pots and now I have my own garden I was thinking of planting them out. Maybe I'll just leave them in their pots! I think they are so beautiful and I'm not really a flower person. Didn't know they came in wine, will have to look out for one...
