Can someone tell me how to put my pics on a cd, I have tried copy and paste but that doesn't work.

I have nero but it won't copy, I have Roxio but can't install it.

Does it have to be done using special software?

Is there anyway of knowing (before hand) how many will fit on a standard dvd/cd?

Are you using Windows? In which case you put an empty CD in the Drive and on my machine the Menu appears asking what you want to do. Format the CD.Then you go to the File ciontaining your pictures and highlight the Folder with your pictures in it, if you wish to save the whole folder or open it and highlight the pics you want to save. Then you go to File--Send- One of the options will be the Cd. Click on that. A reminder usually appears at the bottom of the page saying you have Files Waiting to Write to CD. Click on it. I think it is Then File-Write.
I have never discovered a way of working out how many files will fit on a CD other than adding up, but it does tell you if the folder/folders are too big. I use Rewritable CD's so I can always add some more if need be.
